The process

From Uncertainty to a Clear Answer.

A separate check gives you a moment to pause, even when the conversation itself feels urgent.
01

Notice the Moment

An unexpected call, message or meeting asks you to do something consequential. The voice or account may be familiar, but the request gives you pause.

02

Ask Separately

Open Rooky, select the person you know and send a verification request to their trusted phone. For a specific decision, include the details they need to confirm.

03

Review the Response

The person can confirm or deny the request. Check the response and its details before acting. If it expires or is denied, stop and investigate.

Choose the right check

The Right Question for the Situation.

Sometimes you need to confirm a person. Other times, the exact request matters just as much.
IDENTITY CHECK

“Is this really you?”

Use an identity check when an unexpected call, message or meeting leaves you unsure who is on the other side.

  • A familiar voice calling from an unfamiliar number
  • An unusual message from someone you know
  • A video conversation that feels out of character
REQUEST CHECK

“Did you ask for this?”

For a consequential action, ask the person to confirm the specific request, including what is being asked and when.

  • A payment amount and recipient
  • A change to supplier payment details
  • A request to share sensitive information
